At the northern entrance of Lassithi Plateau, five kilometers from our guesthouses, is the village of Pinakiano. At an altitude of 841 meters, the village of Pinakiano is one of the newer villages that were built in the area, as it does not refer to the Venetian censuses of the 16th century, nor to the Turkish census of 1671.

Pinakiano follows the same architecture as the other villages of the Plateau. Walking in its alleys one can admire the scenery with the beautiful and rich vegetation. It is worth a few walks in the village to admire the church of Agios Titos, which is also the largest of the village and to buy local products of excellent quality.
